Woburn Park, Radcliffe
Details: 40 two-bed apartments in five blocks ranging from two
to four storeys.
Project Value: £2.5 million
Developer: MDA Construction
This 5,000 sq m development in the popular Lancashire market town of Radcliffe takes
full advantage of the picturesque Crow Trees Brook to create a landscaped corridor
running through the site.
The project involved extensive pre-application discussions with Bury Metropolitan
Borough Council to agree sitting, design and access plans. To secure Planning
Approval, we represented our client at council meetings and presented detailed proposals
to council members. The development contains 25% affordable housing as part
of the Local Authority planning agreement
The apartments are of traditional masonry construction with facing brick and render
finishes to external walls. Projecting entrances and bays are finished in
reconstructed stone and roofs are finished in concrete tiles with projecting overhangs.
Individual blocks are set within a comprehensive hard and soft landscaping scheme.
