Anyone for Tea

This property of historical and engaging character is the former tea rooms that were last used as a pavilion for Gawsworth Cricket Club. And so the project was to convert the outbuilding in the grounds of a Grade One listed building of some architectural merit.

Planning permission included the erection of a glazed extension on the back of the building, looking out across the fields towards Jodrell Bank. The location being on the edge of the Gawsworth conservation area necessitated constructive dialogue with the local authority planner and conservation officer, as well as an arboricultural consultant - there were protected trees to be looked after while work was undertaken.
